Is there a reward for attending and accompanying a funeral procession for one who leaves before the burial is completed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In any case, this poor man may spend a million on it, and a calamity may destroy it in a single night. Yes, or an enemy of his may come and kill it without him noticing. So I wish that the responsible authorities would intervene in this matter to prevent this manipulation of people's money. Yes.

The questioner : Your Eminence, it was reported from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)

The Shaykh : (peace and blessings be upon him)

The questioner : that
Whoever prays over a funeral gets one qirat, and whoever attends it until it is buried gets two qirats. It was said: What is a qirat? He said: Like Mount Uhud.
But the question is: some people attend the funeral and leave before the burial is completed. Do they receive the reward?

The Shaykh : The apparent meaning of the hadith
Whoever attends it until the prayer is performed over it
is that this man accompanied it from her home, because the deceased is a funeral from the moment of death. And his saying:
Whoever attends it until the prayer is performed over it
indicates that there is a limit, and that the person honored this deceased by walking with him from the house to the mosque to the cemetery.
But someone might say: His saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever attends it until the prayer is performed over it
includes the one who waited in the mosque until it arrived and the prayer was performed over it, and we hope for good from Allah. As for leaving before the burial is completed, he does not obtain the reward, due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
whoever attends until the burial is over
Sunan Ibn Majah 1541Sahih (Darussalam)
And if he leaves before the burial is completed, he has not witnessed it until it is buried, so this reward is not recorded for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the two qirats? He said:
Like two great mountains
And in a narration, which I think is in Muslim, he said:
The smaller of them is like Mount Uhud
Yes.
