Burying the deceased before praying over him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 9008 )
Q1: If there is a deceased person in an area far from the population, and no one is present to pray the funeral prayer until the horses and camels are sent out to bring someone who knows how to pray the funeral prayer, should he be buried so that it is not delayed? What is the ruling on a deceased person who is buried without a funeral prayer?
A1: The principle in the Shari'ah of Islam is that a Muslim deceased should not be buried until the funeral prayer is performed over him. What you mentioned is merely a hypothetical scenario. However, if a Muslim deceased is buried without a prayer over him, the prayer is performed over his grave. The funeral prayer is not restricted to a specific imam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
