Is it permissible for men to use henna for the purpose of treatment?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In some villages, men use henna on their feet, whether for cooling or for other reasons.

The Shaykh : Whether it is what?

The questioner : For cooling or for other reasons.

The Shaykh : Displaying adornment.

The questioner : For cooling.

The Shaykh : For cooling.

The questioner : Or for other reasons, what is the ruling on that?

The Shaykh : The ruling on that is that a man who applies henna to his feet or hands is imitating women, because dyeing the feet and palms with henna is a characteristic of women. And it is known that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
cursed those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of women and those women who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men لعن المتشبهين من الرجال بالنساء والمتشبهات من النساء بالرجال
Sahih al-Bukhari 5885
However, if there is a need, there is nothing wrong with it, but he should apply it in a manner that differs from the way women dye, so that it is not thought to be imitation. Yes.
