What is your opinion regarding those who point with the index finger during the tashahhud at the time of death, or who do so on their behalf, based on what was reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in this regard?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah bless you. It is well known that al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated a hadith:
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hand or his finger at the time of his death. أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عند احتضاره رفع يده أو إصبعه
This is how it came in the narration of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Then he said:
[To] the highest companion, three times, and then he passed away (peace and blessings be upon him). في الرفيق الأعلى ثلاثا ثم قضي عليه عليه الصلاة والسلام
Is this narration suitable as evidence for what some people do at the time of death, where they do this for the dying person, namely raising their index fingers so that they may recite the tashahhud, making their last words from this world the testimony? That is, they point with their index fingers for that purpose?

The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not raise his hands for the testimony or for supplication. Raising the finger during the testimony requires proof from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). However, during supplication, the finger is raised, or the hand is raised.
So the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hand, pointing to the highest companion, because he was making supplication. He said:
O Allah! (Please let me be) with the highest companion. اللهم في الرفيق الأعلى
