The ruling on raising the index finger at the end of the adhan and iqamah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: Also, I have noticed that when the prayer is established and the mu'adhdhin reaches the last words of the iqamah, which are: "There is no god but Allah," I see some of the worshippers clench the fingers of their right hand and raise the index finger. Likewise, during the Friday sermon or during the circles of knowledge, when the imam or the khatib repeats the phrase "There is no god but Allah," I see many people raising the index finger of their right hand. Did this come from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
The answer: I do not know of anything in this, nor do I recall that anything came from him (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this. Rather, the pointing with the index finger came in the two tashahhuds; the first tashahhud and the final tashahhud. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his index finger as a sign of tawhid (the oneness of Allah). As for after finishing the dhikr of the adhan or the iqamah, I do not recall anything in this except that he (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed for people to respond to the mu'adhdhin and the one who calls the iqamah, and to say after the adhan and after the iqamah, they should send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then say:
O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of the regular prayer which is going to be established! Kindly give Muhammad (ﷺ) the right of intercession and superiority, and send him (on the Day of Judgement) to the best and highest place in Paradise which You promised himاللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة والقائمة، آت محمداً الوسيلة والفضيلة وابعثه مقاماً محموداً الذي وعدته
Bulugh al-Maram 2:67
And he said regarding the one who finishes wudu':
Whoever says when he finishes wudu': "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger," the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he will enter from whichever he wishesمن قال حين يفرغ من الوضوء: أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله، فتحت له أبواب الجنة الثمانية يدخل من أيها شاء
Al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) added:
O Allah! Make me among the repentant, and make me among those who purify themselves.اللهم اجعلني من التوابين واجعلني من المتطهرين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 55Da'if (Darussalam)
And this is with a sound chain of narration, and it is prescribed to say that after wudu':
I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, there are no partners for Him. And I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah! Make me among the repentant, and make me among those who purify themselves.أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله، اللهم اجعلني من التوابين واجعلني من المتطهرين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 55Da'if (Darussalam)
.
It came in a narration:
Then he raises his gaze to the skyثم يرفع نظره إلى السماء
But I do not recall in any of the narrations the pointing with the index finger in this, nor after the iqamah, nor when entering the prayer. Rather, this is in the tashahhuds. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would point with his index finger in the first tashahhud and the final tashahhud. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
