The Shaykh : Try this and you will find that the world does not remain in one state. Among the common proverbs is: "The permanence of a state is impossible".
So if you dislike something in your husband, what do you counter it with? With what pleases you until you are convinced. And it is said to the woman: This is the man that has been decreed for you among men, so be patient and seek reward, and Allah will make for you a way out. If patience becomes impossible, if patience becomes impossible, then we attempt to reconcile, as Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nisa 4:35] This is when the discord is between both parties.
As for when it is the woman who does not want the husband, she has the right to demand annulment if she is absolutely unable to continue, but she must give the husband what he lost of the mahr. The evidence for this is the case of the wife of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammās. You know the status of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammās. What is his status? He was one of the orators of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a skilled orator. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) testified to his entry into Paradise, may Allah be pleased with him. But his wife disliked him with great dislike, so she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said to him:Bulugh al-Maram 8:114 Meaning: His character is good and his religion is upright, I do not fault him Mishkat al-Masabih 3274 disbelief, meaning the disbelief of a spouse, not disbelief in religion, meaning: I fear that I will not be able to fulfill his right his garden: a mahr he gave her. She said, yes, I will return his garden. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Accept the garden. To whom is he saying this? To Thabit, her husband. Is this matter for guidance or for obligation? Some scholars hold that it is for guidance, and others hold that it is for obligation if the situation between them does not become harmonious, because if they remain in a state of disharmony, their life together becomes what? A source of annoyance. And if they have children and a dispute arises between them in front of the children, this becomes more annoying and more annoying. But if they separate, Allah the Exalted said: What? [An-Nisa 4:130] Allah will make for him a way out and for her a way out. So some scholars hold that the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to Thabit: is for obligation, and that is when it is not possible for the situation between them to become harmonious, because the purpose of marriage is what Allah the Glorious and Exalted mentioned: [Ar-Rum 30:21] If this purpose is negated, there is no benefit. Each remains a source of annoyance, and perhaps one becomes occupied with this annoyance to the neglect of obeying Allah. His concern and thought are all directed to what? To what is between him and his family, and so is the woman. So separation here is better than remaining.
And the truth is that the rulings of marriage are many, but due to the shortness of time, we will limit ourselves to what we have mentioned. Perhaps it will be facilitated for us to have another session, if Allah wills, to complete the rest, because it is important, and many people are unaware of its rulings, and many people have arrogance and do not care about wasting rights, neither regarding the wife nor regarding the husband.
We ask Allah for guidance and uprightness for us and for you, and that He make us among those who enjoin one another to truth and enjoin one another to patience and enjoin one another to mercy.

And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them
