Is wiping dust from the place of prostration considered idle behavior?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. Some people, when they prostrate on a place with dust or sometimes ants, are found wiping the place of their forehead and then prostrating. Is this like what is mentioned in the hadith, or is it different?

The Shaykh : It is the same thing, and this is like it; in fact, this is easier than pebbles. Even if a person prostrates on it and collapses, it is easier than pebbles.

The questioner : Is there a fear that it might enter his nose, for example?

The Shaykh : If a person blows when he prostrates, it is possible that it may enter his nose. But if it is normal breathing, I do not think the dust will fly up to his nose. However, even if he fears it, there is no prohibition. Even if he places a handkerchief on it, there is no prohibition.

The questioner : It is mentioned in some hadiths that mercy faces him, and some scholars said: ...

The Shaykh : The meaning may be this—that mercy faces him—and it may be that the meaning is: the more a person is humble and submissive to Allah, the closer he is to His mercy.
