The Shaykh : His statement "on the qiblah" means on its wall. Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) explained his statement "on the qiblah" to mean on the qiblah wall, just as it is the wording of Malik (may Allah have mercy on him).
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a sparrow on the qiblah wall of the mosque, so he scraped it off with a pebble. Then he forbade a man to spit to his right or in front of him, but rather to spit to his left or under his left foot.
