The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayer-03b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Wahb informed us, Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab, who said: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr informed me from Aisha, who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to pray wearing a decorated cloak. He looked at its decoration, and when he finished his prayer, he said: "Take this cloak to Abu Jahm ibn Hudhayfa and bring me my Anbajani cloak, for it distracted me just now in my prayer."
.

The Shaykh : As you see, in this hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed wearing a decorated cloak. A decorated cloak is a garment with designs or patterns. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed wearing it, and it distracted him. In one version, it is stated that he looked at it once and it distracted him. So he ordered that it be taken to Abu Jahm and that his Anbajani cloak be brought to him.
