The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Abu Kuraib, and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim all narrated to us from Waki'. Abu Kuraib said: Waki' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Khalid, Mas'ar, and al-Bakhtari ibn al-Mukhtar, who heard it from Abu Bakr ibn 'Ammarah ibn Ru'aybah from his father, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
No one who prays before the sun rises and before it sets will enter the Fire, meaning Fajr and 'Asr. A man from the people of Basra said to him: Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. The man said: And I testify that I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); my ears heard it and my heart understood it.
لن يلج النار أحد صلى قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها يعني الفجر والعصر فقال له رجل من أهل البصرة آأنت سمعت هذا من رسول الله؟ صلى الله عليه وسلم قال نعم قال الرجل وأنا أشهد أني سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سمعته أذناي ووعاه قلبي
