The reciter: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent for a while, then revelation came to him. 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gestured to Ya'la, so Ya'la came, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was covered by a garment that had been placed over him. He put his head in, and there was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with a reddened face, and he was struggling. Then it was lifted from him, and he said:
Where is the person who asked about 'Umra? أين الذي سأل عن العمرة
Sahih al-Bukhari 1536
The man was brought to him, and he said:
Wash the perfume off your body thrice and take off the cloak and do the same in 'Umra as you do in Hajj. اغسل الطيب الذي بك ثلاث مرات وانزع عنك الجبة واصنع في عمرتك كما تصنع في حجتك
Sahih al-Bukhari 1536
I asked 'Ata: 'Did he mean to cleanse himself when he ordered him to wash three times?' He said: 'Yes.'

The Shaykh : His statement (may Allah have mercy on him): "Chapter on washing the perfume three times." The perfume is the fragrant substance, meaning it is one of its types.
