Benefits of the Hadith of 'Aishah: "It is as if I am looking at the sheen of the perfume in the partings of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in the state of ihram."

The Shaykh : In this hadith, there is evidence that the righteous Salaf used the actual actions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) as proof, and that it is not possible to say: "Perhaps this is specific to him," because the default is that it is not specific to him. The righteous Salaf and the imams continued to argue based on the actions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) without raising the possibility that it was specific to him.
It also clarifies that if a person parts his head hair, he makes one parting in the middle to separate the forelock from the right and left, and a second parting across the top of the head from ear to ear, in order to separate the hair of the forelock that faces the face from the hair of the nape that faces the neck. However, this is specific to women in our custom. Do we say that a man should do this and make this parting, which in our custom is only for women? Or do we say that since this parting is now specific to women, he should not do it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed men who imitate women? This is a matter of custom, not a matter of worship, so we do not say we should continue with it. It is not among the matters of worship, but among the matters of custom. Therefore, we say that if he wants to part his hair, let him part one side, either the forelock or the top of the head, so that he does not imitate women.
