Chapter: The saying of Allah the Exalted: “Hajj is in the well-known months. So whoever has dedicated himself to performing Hajj in them, there is no obscene speech, no transgression, and no quarreling in Hajj.”

The reciter:
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj." ويسألونك عن الأهلة قل هي مواقيت للناس والحج
[Al-Baqarah 2:189]
, and Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and him) said: The months of Hajj are Shawwal, Dhu al-Qa'dah, and the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. And Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and him) said: It is from the Sunnah that one does not enter the state of ihram for Hajj except in the months of Hajj. And 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked that one should enter the state of ihram from Khurasan or Kerman.
