The benefits of the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) praying between the Yemeni pillars.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In this hadith, there is the humility of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), where he closed the door on himself, with Usamah and Bilal present. As for Uthman ibn Talhah, this is because he was one of the custodians of the House. Usamah ibn Zayd was a freed slave, and Bilal was also a freed slave. As for intending the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) prayed, this depends on whether what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did coincidentally is to be followed in it or not. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) held that it is to be followed in it, but Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) differed from the rest of the Companions in this action. The Companions held that what occurred coincidentally without intention is not prescribed, and there is no doubt that this is the correct view. However, the love of the heart for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leads a person to emulate him even in this matter, not as an act of worship, but for the sake of what? The strength of the love. And this is a certainty. Therefore, if someone were to ask us, "Do you follow the pot in food? Is it a recommended practice, or did the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) simply crave it and seek it out?" The answer is the latter. But if a person, out of intense love for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), sees that he should emulate him even in this state, not as an act of worship, then there is no blame on him. And the worship in this state is the worship of love, not the worship of emulating the action. Yes, pay attention to this distinction, because the matter is confused for many people. We say: What was done coincidentally, or merely for a physical desire, is not a recommended practice. But whoever loves the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) with complete love and wishes to emulate him in this, not as an act of worship, but out of the strength of his love, what is this? There is nothing wrong with it, and he is rewarded for the love, not for the emulation.
