The reciter: Abdullah ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, who said: .
The Shaykh : He is referring to his saying:[Sad 38:3] meaning there is no time of escape, this is the manner of departing from 'Arafah when things go according to a person's wish, he departs with a calm pace, and when he finds a gap he speeds up, meaning a wide space. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (peace and blessings be upon him) when he departed from 'Arafah had tightened the reins of his camel so much that its head would hit the supports of its saddle, meaning he pulled its neck until the head reached the position of the saddle, and he would say with his hand: But this has changed now, unless a private road is prepared for a person, in which case it is possible.
I was asked, and I was sitting, how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would proceed during the Farewell Pilgrimage when he departed? He said: He would proceed at a walking pace, and when he found a gap, he would gallop. Hisham said: And the gallop is faster than the walking pace. Abu Abdullah said: A gap is a wide space, and the plural is gaps and wide spaces, just as a narrow path is a narrow path and the plural is narrow paths, a place of no escape, not a time of fleeing
