The Shaykh : The believer is given good news in this world regarding his righteous deeds in several ways:
First: If Allah opens his chest to righteous deeds, and he finds peace in them and rejoices in them, this is evidence that Allah the Exalted has written him among the happy ones, as Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said: And this is indicated by the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was informed that every person has had his place in Paradise or Hellfire written for him, so they said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not leave off our deeds and rely on what has been written? He said: اعملوا فكل ميسر لما خلق له. ثم قرأ : فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى * وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى * فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى * وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى * وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى * فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى Work, for every one is made easy for that for which he was created. Then he recited: So as for he who gives and fears Allah and believes in the best, We will make easy for him the easy way. And as for he who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient and denies the best, We will make easy for him the difficult way So among the good news for the believer is that he finds comfort in his soul regarding righteous deeds, satisfaction with them, and peace in them. For this reason, prayer was the delight of the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
And among the good news for the believer is that people speak well of him, for their praise of him with good is their testimony that he is among the people of good. And this Ummah are the witnesses, as Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Hajj 22:78].
And when a funeral passed by and they spoke well of it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: meaning that Paradise became obligatory for him. And he said to the Companions: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1058Sahih (Darussalam).
So if a person hears nothing from people but praise of him, this is a blessing from Allah upon him and it is good news for him.
And among them, meaning among the immediate good news for the believer, is that he sees good visions in his sleep. This person comes and says: I saw such and such, and I saw such and such, and the second person says: I saw such and such, and I saw such and such, or he himself sees good for himself. For this is among the immediate good news for the believer.
So these are three matters, all of which are among the immediate good news for the believer. So let the man be given good news and let the woman be given good news if each of them sees that the deed is made easy for him and that Allah Glorified and Exalted is He has opened his chest to Islam. Allah the Exalted said:[Az-Zumar 39:22].
