I was overcome by severe hardship, so I met 'Umar ibn al-Khattab and asked him to recite a verse from the Book of Allah. He entered his house and opened the door for me. I walked a short distance before I collapsed on my face from the hardship and hunger. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing over me. He said, "O Abu Hurayrah." I said, "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah, at your service." He took my hand and raised me up, and he knew what was wrong with me. He then took me to his tent and ordered a skin of milk to be brought for me. I drank from it, and then he said, "Come back and drink, O Abu Hurayrah." I came back and drank. Then he said, "Come back," and I came back and drank until my stomach was full and became like a cup. He said, "Then I met 'Umar and mentioned to him what had happened to me, and I said to him, 'May Allah have turned that away from the one who is more deserving of it than you, O 'Umar.'"
The Shaykh : In the second copy, "fa-walla Allah" means that Allah made it easy for me to find a person other than you, yes.
