The Shaykh : There is no doubt that this is forbidden in the general sense.
and eat and drink, but be not excessive كلوا واشربوا ولا تسرفوا
[Al-A'raf 7:31]

The Shaykh : If there is no benefit that corresponds to it. But if it is very tall yet has a benefit, such as renting it out or benefiting from it, there is nothing wrong with it. However, if there is no benefit, it falls under extravagance, which Allah has forbidden and prohibited.
And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess. لا تسرفوا إنه لا يحب المسرفين
[Al-An'am 6:141]
We say that extravagance is forbidden in everything. Yes.
