If the fruit is insufficient, is it obligatory to give him notice?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Can it be inferred from this that the buyer is obligated to pay, even by purchasing?

The Shaykh : No.

The questioner : That when he asked him and he refused... by the blessing of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), does this mean that if the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) were not present, he would be obligated to pay?

The Shaykh : If the fruit is not sufficient, he may either take the fruit and wait for the rest, or he may rescind the forward sale and take his dirhams. And if the one to whom the sale was made does not have dirhams, he must be given time to pay, as this is obligatory due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease وإن كان ذو عسرة فنظرة إلى ميسرة
[Al-Baqarah 2:280]
