The questioner : O honorable Shaykh, I love you for the sake of Allah, and Allah knows that, and one of the brothers advised me to present this question to you, may Allah preserve you.
The question is: A man died leaving behind a mother, two wives, sons, and daughters, and the money was divided among them, and each one of them took his or her right as determined by the Shari'ah. The question is: after that, the two wives married, and then the heirs obtained a farm in the name of the deceased. Do these two wives, who have married, inherit? I ask for your guidance, and may Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : If it is established that the two farms were the property of the deceased, then they have their share. They have one-eighth in total, because the wife's right in inheritance does not lapse if she marries.
