A man has a satellite dish, and Allah granted him guidance; is it permissible for him to sell it to a disbeliever?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : There is a man who has a satellite dish, and Allah granted him guidance and repentance. Is it permissible for him to sell this dish to a disbeliever or to a Christian?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for him to do this. He must break it, and there is no way to repent except this. Breaking it, even though he paid a price for it, clearly indicates that he is repenting with sincere repentance, and Allah will replace it for him. This is because Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, says in His Book:
But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers." وَمَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
[Saba 34:39]
Likewise, when a person breaks a thing in obedience to Allah the Exalted and in repentance to Him, Allah the Exalted will replace it for him. Yes.
