A man leads the people in prayer, and after finishing the prayer he sits until the sun rises, then goes to wake up his brothers. Is his action valid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And peace be upon you.

The questioner : I lead the people in prayer in a mosque, and I may delay after the Fajr prayer by returning home to wake up my brothers. So, if I return after the sun has risen, do I wake them up immediately, or do I leave them until they wake up on their own?

The Shaykh : No, no.

The questioner : Has the time already passed?

The Shaykh : First: regarding leaving the mosque, it is better for you to leave the mosque early than to remain in the mosque until the sun rises. Go out and wake these people up.

The questioner : But I may be compelled, meaning, people may come and so on, and I sit with them?

The Shaykh : Even if people come to you, because remaining for these people is a recommended practice (sunnah), and waking up those for whom you are responsible is an obligation that follows it.
