Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, may Allah preserve you. A man in Hajj began stoning the pillars by starting with the middle one, then the large one, then the small one. Is he required to do anything?

The Shaykh : Was he ignorant? I mean, was he ignorant or did he do it intentionally?

The questioner : No, intentionally.

The Shaykh : Did he know that it is forbidden?

The questioner : It is possible that the apparent indication is that he...

The Shaykh : My question is, did he know that it is forbidden or not?

The questioner : I do not know, because a man advised me.

The Shaykh : The important point is that if he knew that it is forbidden, he must pay a fidyah (ransom payment) by slaughtering an animal in Makkah and distributing it to the poor. The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Very well.
