Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to recite tasbih aloud during ruku' and sujud, and during the recitation of the tashahhud? Is this khushu' or a departure from the prayer?

The Shaykh : It is prescribed for a person to recite the dhikr of ruku', sujud, standing, and sitting quietly, except for the recitation (qira'ah). As for the recitation, it is prescribed to recite it aloud in the prayer of 'Id, the Friday prayer, the prayer for rain, the Maghrib prayer, the 'Isha' prayer, and the Fajr prayer, if the person is praying in congregation and is the imam.
As for when he is praying alone, he has the choice between reciting aloud and quietly. He may pray Maghrib aloud if he wishes, and likewise 'Isha', Fajr, and the night prayer. Or he may recite quietly. This is provided there is no one around him who would be disturbed or harmed by the raised voice. If there are people around him who would be disturbed or harmed, he should not recite his prayer aloud.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
