Benefits of a Hadith: (… I heard Ibn al-Zubayr delivering a sermon, saying: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, regarding this warning in this hadith and the one before it, is the meaning that he will not enter Paradise? Or is the meaning that even if he enters it, he will not adorn himself with it or wear it? There are two opinions among the scholars. Some said that the meaning is:
will not wear it in the Hereafter لم يلبسه في الأخرة
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5305Sahih (Darussalam)
meaning he did not enter Paradise, because if he entered Paradise he would wear it, as Allah the Exalted said:
and their garments therein will be silk. وَلِباسُهُم فيها حَريرٌ
[Al-Hajj 22:23]
So when the consequence of entering Paradise is negated, that indicates the negation of the cause, which is entering.
And some said: Rather, he enters Paradise, but he does not wear it.
And whatever the meaning is, this is from the category of warnings whose ruling may be lifted from a person if Allah accepts his repentance, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَغفِرُ أَن يُشرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغفِرُ ما دونَ ذلِكَ لِمَن يَشاءُ
[An-Nisa 4:48]
.
And in this hadith, there is an issue in the hadith of Ibn al-Zubayr, which is his saying: “Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said” or delivering a sermon saying “Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said”. The Companions used to express themselves by saying: The Messenger of Allah said. And Allah the Exalted said:
Do not make [your] calling of the Messenger among yourselves as the call of one of you to another. لا تَجعَلوا دُعاءَ الرَّسولِ بَينَكُم كَدُعاءِ بَعضِكُم بَعضًا
[An-Nur 24:63]
, and there are two interpretations of it:
The first is: Do not make the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) like the command of others. If he calls you to something, you do not justify for yourselves not responding; rather, if he calls you, respond to him. And on this basis, the calling of the Messenger is from the category of attributing the source to its doer.
And it was said that the meaning is the calling of the Messenger, meaning your calling of him. Do not make your calling of him like your calling of one another, so do not say “O Muhammad” as some of you say to others “O Muhammad.”
As for the first interpretation, there is no issue in the speech of Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both). As for the second, there is an issue in it.
And the answer to it is to say that there is a difference between calling and reporting. Calling is when you call him and say: O Muhammad. This is prohibited. Reporting is when you say: Muhammad said. This is permissible. The Companions used to employ this, such as the saying of Abu Hurayrah regarding the one who leaves the mosque after the adhan: “As for this one, he has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim” (peace and blessings be upon him), and the saying of 'Ammar: “Whoever fasts on the day of doubt has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim” (peace and blessings be upon him). So the category of reporting is not like the category of calling. Yes.
