The reciter: Muhammad narrated to me, saying: Mukhald informed me, saying: Ibn Jurayj informed me, saying: 'Ubayd Allah ibn Hafs informed me, saying: 'Umar ibn Nafi' informed him, from Nafi', the mawla of 'Abdullah: that he heard Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: Sahih al-Bukhari 5932.
'Ubayd Allah said: "I asked: What is al-qaza'? So 'Ubayd Allah pointed to us, saying: When a boy is shaved, and hair is left here, and here, and here, so 'Ubayd Allah pointed to us at his forehead and the sides of his head".
It was said to 'Ubayd Allah: "What about a girl and a boy? He said: I do not know; he said it this way: the boy".
'Ubayd Allah said: "And I asked him again, and he said: As for the tuft and the back of the head for a boy, there is no harm in them, but al-qaza' is when hair is left on his forehead, and there is no other hair on his head, and likewise splitting his head here and here".
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbidding this
