The one who persists in the witr prayer, but when he is energetic he prays it as seven rak'ahs, and when he is tired he prays it as five rak'ahs: is this considered persistence?

The questioner : O Shaykh, may Allah reward you. The one who persists in the witr prayer, but sometimes when he is energetic he prays it as seven rak'ahs, and when he is tired he prays it as five rak'ahs, and so on: is this considered persistence?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is considered persistence. That is, he gives it its due, so he is persistent in the witr. However, the manner of the witr is according to what is easy for him.
