The martyr does not feel the blow that took his life; does this mean he does not experience the pangs of death?

The Shaykh : It is different from the pangs of death. It may happen to him, or it may not. Even the pangs of death do not occur for every deceased person. The pangs of death—this is why it is said that death has pangs, not that every deceased person has pangs. Death has pangs, but not every deceased person [experiences them]. Sometimes a person dies like this, without any pangs, and this is common. And sometimes the deceased dies while he is speaking, conscious, with no difference, and he was ill before. You find him talking to his companions and then he passes away. Yes, and Shaykh 'Abdullah ibn Ibrahim al-Nasari (may Allah have mercy on him), who was issuing the timing for Qatar, perhaps you know of him.
