The reciter: 'Umar ibn Hafs narrated to us, our father narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, Shaqiq narrated to me, I heard 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The first matter concerning which scores will be settled among the people will be bloodshed أول ما يقضى بين الناس في الدماء
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3996Sahih (Darussalam)

The Shaykh : The Exalted, yes, the first thing for which judgment will be passed between people is in blood. This is because blood is the greatest of transgressions; killing a soul is the greatest of all things, greater than fornication, meaning greater than encroaching upon honor, even though fornication is greater than killing from another perspective. For example, killing is established by the testimony of two men, whereas fornication is not established except by four. Likewise, falsely accusing someone of fornication is a cause for the fixed punishment, meaning if you say to a person, "O fornicator," then either you present proof or you confess, or the one accused, or you are flogged eighty lashes. But if you falsely accuse a person of killing, saying "you are a killer," then you are not subject to the fixed punishment. So each is greater from one angle, but the wisdom behind requiring four men for the testimony of fornication is to protect honors and prevent their defilement. Likewise, the wisdom behind the one who falsely accuses of fornication being flogged, while the one who falsely accuses of killing and similar sins is not flogged, is that this ruins the reputation and conduct among people. I mean that the one accused of fornication is different from the one accused of killing. But the first thing for which judgment is passed between people is in blood; this is in the rights of the servants. As for the rights of Allah, O 'Abdullah, explain to us: who? The first thing?
The reciter: The rights of Allah.

The Shaykh : Yes, Salim.
The reciter: Blood.

The Shaykh : No, no, blood is the rights of human beings, the rights of people, meaning.
The reader: Listen

The Shaykh : Blood is in the rights of people, but in the rights of people.
The reciter: Tawhid.

The Shaykh : Other than that.
The reciter: Prayer.

The Shaykh : Prayer, the first thing looked at is prayer, yes, that is right.

The questioner : Shaykh,

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : I do not understand this phrase.

The Shaykh : Which one?

The questioner : In the first chapter, the chapter of His saying, the Exalted:
(4) Do they not think that they will be resurrected (5) For a tremendous Day - (6) The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? ألا يظن أولئك أنهم مبعوثون ليوم عظيم يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:4-6]
Ibn 'Abbas said regarding "and the ties were severed": "They are the connections in this world" This statement is from Ibn 'Abbas.

The questioner : Meaning this, "and the ties were severed" is the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He.

The Shaykh : Yes, he said "the connections in this world," meaning Ibn 'Abbas interpreted it. Ibn 'Abbas said in the interpretation of "ties": "The connections with this world"

The questioner : It does not need "he said" a second time.

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : A second time, he said.

The Shaykh : And Ibn 'Abbas said...

The questioner : ... And he said the second time.

The Shaykh : Meaning, and Ibn 'Abbas said regarding His saying, the Exalted:
and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship],وتقطعت بهم الأسباب
[Al-Baqarah 2:166]

The questioner : He said:

The Shaykh : Yes, repeating the grammatical actor, repeating the grammatical actor in their rhetoric, when the speech is long, when the speech is long, or when confusion is feared, the grammatical actor is repeated. So here he repeated the grammatical actor a second time, but this is it, yes.
