Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Mu'adh ibn Asad narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, Yunus informed us from al-Zuhri, who said: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib told me that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) told him, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
From my followers there will enter Paradise a crowd, seventy thousand in number, whose faces will glitter as the moon does when it is full. يدخل الجنة من أمتي زمرة هم سبعون ألفاً تضيء وجوههم إضاءة القمر ليلة البدر
Sahih al-Bukhari 6542
, and Abu Hurayrah said: Then Ikhsa' ibn Makhsham al-Asadi stood up, raising his cloak, and said: O Messenger of Allah, call upon Allah to make me one of them. He said:
O Allah, make him one of them اللهم اجعله منهم
Then a man from the Ansar stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, call upon Allah to make me one of them. He said:
Ikamah got ahead of you with that. سبقك بها عكاشة
