The Shaykh : As for the first hadith, it contains evidence that the disbelievers will be of this magnitude, with a distance of three days' journey for a fast rider between their shoulders. We ask Allah for well-being. This means that their bodies will become large. Some scholars said: "so that the area of punishment expands in the body", because the area of punishment expands as the body expands. As for the people of Paradise, it has been previously mentioned that they will be sixty cubits in height, and it has been reported that they will be seven cubits in width, so they are not like the people of the Fire. The people of the Fire are larger and more massive in body. In my opinion, and Allah knows best, the second connection is that the larger their bodies become, the more they fill the Fire. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has promised to fill the Fire, until it is thrown into and it says, "Is there any more?" until the Lord of Majesty places His foot upon it, so some of it contracts to some of it, and it says, "Enough, enough," meaning "sufficient" or "enough for me, enough for me."
