Explanation of the Book of Inheritance, Fixed Punishments, and Blood Money-09b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Musa narrated to us, Abu 'Uwanah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us from Warrad, the scribe of al-Mughirah, from al-Mughirah, who said: Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah said:
If I saw a man with my wife I would strike him with the sword, and not with the flat of it.” When God’s Messenger heard of that he said, “Are you surprised at Sa'd’s jealousy? I swear by God that I am more jealous than he is and that God is more jealous than I am لو رأيت رجلا مع امرأتي لضربته بالسيف غير مصفح، فبلغ ذلك النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: أتعجبون من غيرة سعد لأنا أغير منه والله أغير مني
Mishkat al-Masabih 3309

The Shaykh : His statement (peace and blessings be upon him):
Do you wonder at Sa`d's sense of ghira أتعجبون من غيرة سعد
Sahih al-Bukhari 6846
means "be amazed by it." The interrogative here carries the meaning of a command, like His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He):
Then, would you [not] be Muslims? فهل أنتم مسلمون
[Hud 11:14]
meaning "so submit." But he said:
Verily, I have more sense of ghira than Sa`d, and Allah has more sense of ghira than I. لأنا أغير منه والله أغير مني
Sahih al-Bukhari 6846
, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth. The most jealous person regarding the inviolable rights is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and more jealous than him is his Lord (Mighty and Majestic). For this reason, He forbade the indecent acts, both those that are apparent and those that are hidden. He forbade them because He (Glorified and Exalted is He) is the most jealous of anyone.
