Some soap is said to be made from pig fat; what is the ruling?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, in light of the first question the brother asked about imported items, we found some publications stating that some soap is made from pig fat. What is your opinion on this?

The Shaykh : By Allah, my opinion is that the original ruling is permissibility. The original ruling for everything Allah has created for us on earth is that it is lawful, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً
[Al-Baqarah 2:29]
. If someone claims that this is forbidden due to its impurity or otherwise, he must provide evidence. As for believing in every illusion and everything that is said, there is no basis for that. If he says, "This soap contains pig meat or pig fat," we say to him: "Provide the proof." If it is established that most of it is pig fat or pig oil, it is obligatory for us to avoid it. Yes, that is correct.
