If a man wipes over his socks and then removes them, does his ritual purity become invalid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If a person wipes over his socks and then removes them, does his ritual purity become invalid?

The Shaykh : If he wipes over the socks and then removes them, his ritual purity does not become invalid.

The questioner : It remains?

The Shaykh : It remains until he breaks his state of purity. If we are asked for evidence, we say: The evidence is against the one who says it becomes invalid, because this is a state of purity established by the Shari'ah, so it does not become invalid except by evidence from the Shari'ah. There is nothing in the Book or the Sunnah indicating that removing the socks after wiping over them invalidates the purity. So he remains in a state of purity until he breaks it, and then he performs the ablution for prayer.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
