What is the ruling on the popular 'ardha, especially if it includes Nabati poetry containing flirtation and invective?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you: What is the ruling on the popular 'ardha that is interspersed with the zayr, the zulfah, and Nabati poetry that is not free from invective, flirtation, praise, and criticism? May Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : The Najdi 'ardha, if it has no occasion, is a form of idle play and amusement. If it has an occasion, such as the days of the festivals, then there is nothing wrong with it; that is, there is nothing wrong with people playing with swords, rifles, and the like, and beating the hand drum. However, the drum, the zayr, and songs that contain invective and cursing are forbidden. It is not permissible for a person to attend such 'ardhas. It is obligatory to forbid them and to advise people, saying to them: do not attend them. For if a person attends gatherings of what is wrong, he shares in their sin even if he does not do it himself, as Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said:
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like themوَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ إِنَّكُمْ إِذاً مِثْلُهُمْ
