What is the ruling on a resident praying 'Isha' behind a traveler who is combining and praying Maghrib?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O our esteemed Shaykh: A group of people were traveling, and they wanted to combine the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers by delaying them. Is it permissible for a resident to follow them in the Maghrib prayer, intending to pray 'Isha' himself, and then complete the fourth rak'ah after the traveling imam has finished his prayer?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible for a resident to pray 'Isha' behind someone who is praying Maghrib. When he finishes the Maghrib prayer, he completes the remaining rak'ah. Yes.

The questioner : O Shaykh, does this not fall under the hadith:
So do not differ from him. فلا تختلفوا عليه
?

The Shaykh : We did not differ from him when he said the takbir, we said the takbir; when he bowed, we bowed; and when he prostrated, we prostrated. But he finished his prayer while we still had one rak'ah remaining in our prayer, so we complete it.
