What is the criterion for dealing with a man who holds a position or has a prolific pen, and in whom there is much good, but who has some notes against him regarding 'aqidah or otherwise?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and after that: May Allah preserve you, O Shaykh. If there is a man who has some notes against him, whether in 'aqidah or otherwise, and in whom there is much good, what is the criterion for dealing with him and benefiting from him, if he has a prolific pen, or a distinguished position, or possesses energies that others do not have?

The Shaykh : If this man openly displays the religious innovation (bid'ah) that he has, then it is not permissible for a person to deal with him or to frequent him, because even if he is not influenced by him, he misleads others. In other words, people are deceived and think that this innovator is on the right path. Therefore, what is required is that a person should not frequent the people of innovation, no matter how much he benefits from them financially or in terms of knowledge, because of the misleading of others that is involved in that.
