What is the ruling on bringing the mushaf into the restrooms? And are Qur'anic tapes to be judged by the same standard?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We prohibit hanging it, yes.

The questioner : May Allah preserve you, O honorable Shaykh, and make you a treasure for Islam and the Muslims.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : What is the ruling on bringing the mushaf into the bathroom? And are Islamic tapes, specifically the Noble Qur'an, to be judged by the same standard?

The Shaykh : Yes, bringing the mushaf into the toilet or dirty places is explicitly forbidden by the scholars, because that contradicts the respect due to the words of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), unless one fears it will be stolen if left outside the toilet, or fears forgetting it, in which case there is no blame.
As for the tapes, they are not like the mushaf, because the tapes do not contain writing; the most that is there are vibrations on the tape that, when passed through the specific device, produce the sound. So it is permissible to bring them in, and there is no issue with its permissibility.
As long as we say, "O brothers! You see, gatherings are a trust," as long as we say that the one in the country has no right, at any moment he confronts me and asks.
