Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, some people, when they finish 'Umrah and want to shave, meaning before shaving their head, the barbers apply some perfume or soap to it that has a pleasant scent. Is this considered among the prohibitions of ihram, or is it in the process of removal, so it is excused?

The Shaykh : But how is it that 'Umrah has not ended?

The questioner : But it is after the shaving.

The Shaykh : I mean before he shaves?

The questioner : Before he shaves?

The Shaykh : If it is perfume, it prevents him from it. But if it is just a pleasant scent, there is no harm in it. He said: Is it perfume or a pleasant scent like the scent of mint and the like? Yes, if it is the latter, there is no harm in it, even if it is in the midst of ihram after that.

The questioner : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
Your Eminence, as you know, in these days, with the opening of schools and Qur'an memorization schools approaching, they only accept thirty students in the first year, and problems occur during registration for the students' guardians or the administrators of those schools. The question is: What do you direct or advise the administrators of the schools and the students' guardians, as well as the officials who set the ratio to thirty students? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : We see that the people of the town gather and write to the Minister of Education, explaining to him that the demand for these schools is high, and that it should not be prevented for people to do what they want in a matter that is good and beneficial. So perhaps if they write that.
