A note on Muslim's method in his Sahih.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Among its benefits, in terms of the chain of narration, is evidence that Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) is very skilled in arranging the chains of narration, and this is important. Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) does not follow this method. You will find that he separates the hadith, and the reason for this separation is that he (may Allah have mercy on him)—I mean al-Bukhari—cares about the jurisprudence of the hadith, so he separates the hadith according to the chapters of jurisprudence that he derived from the hadiths. This is what compels him to present the hadith with one chain in this chapter and with another chain in the other chapter. But Muslim does not care about this, and for this reason, all the chapters we read today are those that were organized after his time (may Allah have mercy on him).
