The Shaykh : ... that some later scholars have hesitated regarding the validity of attributing this hadith to Imam Muslim. The reason for this is clear and evident: the hadith is related to the trials that occur before the Hour. In this regard, it is exactly like the hadith that follows it. The person referred to went back to the Book of Trials in *Sahih Muslim* and did not find the hadith in the Book of Trials, so he doubted that this hadith was in *Sahih Muslim*. However, the reality is that this attribution by the author and others to Imam Muslim is a correct attribution. The only thing is that he narrated it in a place where it is not expected to be found. He narrated it in the Book of Faith, which is the first book in Imam Muslim’s *Sahih*, whereas the other book where it is thought to be found is the last book in *Sahih Muslim*, which is the Book of Trials. When some researchers did not find this hadith in the Book of Trials in *Sahih Muslim*, they assumed that its attribution to Muslim was an error. Their assumption is the error. Imam Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith, as we said, from the beginning of his *Sahih*.
