The Shaykh: And here it is necessary to point out; that is, from the perspective of hadith studies, that some later scholars have hesitated regarding the validity of attributing this hadith to Imam Muslim. The reason for this is clear and evident: the hadith is related to the tribulations that occur before the Hour. In this regard, it is exactly like the hadith that follows it. The person referred to went back to the Book of Tribulations in "Sahih Muslim" and did not find the hadith in the Book of Tribulations, so he doubted that this hadith was in "Sahih Muslim." However, the reality is that this attribution by the author and others of this hadith to Imam Muslim is a correct attribution. The only thing is that he narrated it in a place where it is not expected to be found; that is, he narrated it in the Book of Faith, which is the first book of Imam Muslim’s books in his "Sahih," whereas the other book where it is thought to be found is the last book in "Sahih Muslim," which is the Book of Tribulations. When some researchers did not find this hadith in the Book of Tribulations in "Sahih Muslim," they assumed that its attribution to Muslim was an error, and their assumption is the error.
