What is the authenticity of the hadith: “Whoever reads al-Baqarah in his home, no devil will approach it for three days”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, [what is the ruling on] whoever reads Surat al-Baqarah in his home, [does] no devil approach [it] for three days?

The Shaykh : I do not know...; what I have in the hadith is absolute:
runs away from the house in which Surah Baqara is recited ينفر من البيت الذي تقرأ فيه البقرة
Sahih Muslim 780
. Does it [the devil] flee when it is read? That is not what appears to be the case. Perhaps it is like his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever reads the Verse of the Throne in a night, a guardian from Allah remains over him, and no devil approaches him until he becomes morning. من قرأ ءاية الكرسي في ليلة لم يزل عليه من الله حافظ ولا يقربه شيطان حتى يصبح
