The Shaykh : As for the second hadith, the hadith of Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said Sunan Ibn Majah 1368Sahih (Darussalam), it contains evidence for the virtue of the two verses from His saying [Al-Baqarah 2:285] then [Al-Baqarah 2:286]. And His saying "whoever reads them in a night, they suffice him" means they suffice him from evil and what causes him distress. It does not mean they suffice him from standing in night prayer, as some have thought; rather, the meaning is that they suffice him from evil and badness. In this hadith is evidence for the permissibility of speaking during tawaf and asking about knowledge, but this is if a person is in need, so let him ask the one performing tawaf. However, if he is not in need, or if he has a need that can be postponed until after the tawaf of the one being asked, it is better not to occupy him with his tawaf, because tawaf is one of the specific acts of worship, and were it not that Allah has permitted speech in it, speech would be forbidden. Therefore, a person should not force the one performing tawaf to be occupied with him away from his tawaf. Rather, if there is a need that cannot be postponed until after the tawaf, there is no harm; otherwise, the best and most preferable is not to occupy him with it. Yes.
