The reciter: And Muhammad ibn Mahrān al-Rāzī narrated to us, al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: al-Awzāʿī, Abū ʿAmr, and others said: I heard Ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī narrating from ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah
there was an eclipse of the sun in the time of God’s Messenger, and he sent one to summon the people to congregational prayer. He then went forward and prayed two rak'as in which he bowed four times and prostrated himself four times

The Shaykh : This indicates that the call for it was: "The prayer is a gathering." The apparent meaning of his statement:
So he sent a caller. فَبَعَثَ مُنَادِيًا
is that he goes through the markets so that all the people know about it. In our time, praise be to Allah, there are loudspeakers that suffice for this.
It also indicates that the call for it is not the call for obligatory prayers, meaning the takbīr and the tahlīl, but rather: "The prayer is a gathering." The grammarians said: there are two possibilities for
The prayer is a gathering.الصلاة جامعة
: The first is the nominative case, treating it as a subject and predicate, where "the prayer" is the subject and "a gathering" is the predicate.
The second possibility is the accusative case: "the prayer, a gathering," so that "the prayer" becomes the object of an implied verb, estimated to be "attend," and "a gathering" is in the accusative case as a state describing the prayer, meaning: attend the prayer while it is a gathering that brings you together.
