The reciter: Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to me, Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah, who is Shayban al-Nahwi, narrated to us from Yahya, from Abu Salama, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As. And Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Darimi narrated to us, Yahya ibn Hassan informed us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salam narrated to us from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, who said: Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me of the report of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, that he said:
When the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), they (the people) were called to congregational prayers. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed two ruku's in one rak'ah. He then stood and observed two ruku's in (the second) rak'ah. The sun then became bright, and 'A'isha said; Never did I observe, ruku' and prostration longer than this (ruku' and prostration).
Sahih Muslim 910
.

The Shaykh : The point of interest in this is his statement: "the prayer is a congregation." As for his statement: "two rak'ahs in one prostration," the intended meaning of "prostration" is the rak'ah, as it came in the hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
and whoever catches up with a prostration of 'Asr before the sun sets, then he has caught up with it.
Sunan an-Nasa'i 550Sahih (Darussalam)
, and the prostration, he said in the hadith itself: it is the rak'ah. So the intended meaning of "two rak'ahs in one prostration" is: in one rak'ah. And he specified the two rak'ahs because they are contrary to the custom.
