The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, and Waki' narrated to us from Sa'id ibn 'Ubayd al-Tai and Muhammad ibn Qays from 'Ali ibn Rabi'ah, who said:
The first person over whom wailing was done in Kufah was Qarazah ibn Ka'b, and al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever is wailed over will be punished on the Day of Resurrection for what was wailed over him.
