Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Zuhayr ibn Harb both narrated to us from Ibn 'Uyaynah. Abu Bakr said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us from al-Zuhri from Sa'id from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
Make haste at a funeral; if the dead person was good, it is a good state to which you are sending him on; but if he was otherwise it is an evil of which you are ridding yourselves.
