The questioner : Now, it might be asked: What should a Muslim do if this night, for example, falls in early spring or in Rajab?

The Shaykh : It is not befitting to do anything, for those who are more eager for good than we are.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And who are more reverent toward the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than we are, namely the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), did not do anything when it passed.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Therefore, if this night had been well-known and established among them, it would have been transmitted by mass transmission (mutawatir) without any doubt, and there would not have been this historical disagreement in which people differed and became confused.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And it is known that the researchers have said that there is no basis for this night which is claimed to be the night of the Mi'raj, namely the twenty-seventh night.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : It has no religious or historical basis.

The questioner : So, the disagreement regarding its time is evidence against celebrating it.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
Regarding prayer, we received this message from the questioner A.S.A. al-Matruodi from al-Qasim, who says: Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : I present the following questions to your eminence, hoping that your eminence will graciously answer them. May Allah reward you with good.
