The Shaykh : He knew its interpretation without doubt; he was the most knowledgeable of people regarding the interpretation of the Book of Allah. The meaning of "interpretation" here is "explanation." Indeed, the most knowledgeable of creation regarding the meanings of the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is the Messenger of Allah. For this reason, the scholars said: One should refer to the Qur'an for explanation, then to the Sunnah, then to the statements of the scholars among the Companions, then to the statements of the Tabi'un who learned from the Companions.
